Military Hero

Richard was nominated by his son, Kevin, My nominee is my father, my hero, my role model. My father retired as an E-9 Master Chief, which is an enlisted rank that only 1% of all enlisted personnel achieve. After retiring from the Navy in 1981, my hero work for NN Shipbuilding as a logistics supervisor. He retired from there after 20+ years and now works at the VFW Post 4809 as a Quartermaster. All these things are a great feat for any average person, but what makes my father a great hero is that there is not a single person, be it military or civilian who has an unkind thing to say about him. He truly represents greatness, and if my brothers or myself become half the man he is, then we have done well. My father has always chocks up his attributes to, "Ehhh, it's no big deal. " I believe that my father, my hero, is your next military hero of the week, and I'm sure that I would be supported by countless others who have always called him, "Master Chief", or "Mr. C"
