Military Hero

Marie was nominated by her husband Jeffrey : My wife Marie was in the Air Force for 10.5 years before she was medically retired in 2011. While stationed at Langley AFB Marie worked with the 1st Maintenance Group (1 MXG), working for the MXG Commander. She has supported three Presidential missions for three different Presidents (President Reagan's funeral, President Bush's last visit home before leaving office, and she worked on the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee for six months during the 2008-2009 election and Inauguration). Marie has a passion for supporting all military personnel and families, often spending long hours volunteering and donating her time. As a disabled veteran, she now works for the US Navy at the Fleet and Family Support Center, Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. I am so proud of my wife and how she continues to find new ways to be involved and shares her passion for ensuring our troops at home and overseas are supported in every way possible.
