I would like to nominate my Hero cousin, AZ1(AW/SW) Joshua Manning. Originally from Fort Payne, Alabama, he has served in the Navy since February 1995 and now makes Norfolk, Va his home. He has deployed worldwide over half a dozen times, being boots on ground in Iraq and Kosovo.

Besides being a combat vet, sworn Law Enforcement Officer, educator and overall Mans-Man, he volunteers countless hours every week helping veterans throughout Hampton Roads providing basic welfare checks, driving them to the VA hospital, providing meals, transportation to/from errands and also assistance with home maintenance and yard work along with 4 his closest friends which are also local area Law Enforcement Officers.

He and his friends are also local musicians in a Norfolk based band playing the Tidewater and Northern VA music scenes and donate all profits to the Wounded Warrior Foundation and National Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Fund.
