Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Presented by Virginia Oncology Associates

WNOR FM99

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month—and Virginia Oncology Associates wants to remind you; early detection saves lives.

If you’re a man between the ages of 45 to 50 with an average risk for prostate cancer, VOA recommends you start the prostate cancer screening conversation with your doctor.

And, if you have a family history—or you’re African American—VOA recommends starting that conversation even earlier and initiate screening between ages 40 to 45 .

These simple tests could make a big difference.
