Military Hero

Chief Master Sergeant Fredrick Cowell III was nominated by Evangeline Baines, who had the following to say about him: "Chief Cowell is a natural-born leader. He has served in the United States Air Force for almost 25 years. He motivates his Airmen through leading by example. Chief Cowell inspires his team to become community focused and achieve high levels of success. Instead of telling his Airmen what to do, he shows his Airmen how to become leaders. Chief is courageous, and brave enough to tell the truth. Chief is frequently found sitting beside junior personnel who are struggling and need a kind and listening ear. He teaches resilience through Airmen readiness programs. Chief teaches Airmen how to cope with stress through healthy habits, like nutrition, exercise, and education. He takes action to show his appreciation to every Airmen, regardless of their rank. He sits down at BBQs and gets to know who his Airmen and their families are. He knows everyone by name and treats everyone with dignity and respect. He identifies the strengths of his Airmen and connects them to growth opportunities that propel each individual toward their goals. He is the lead singer in a rock band, Silence and Light, whose mission is create awareness about the battle that many veterans are fighting, the battle within. The profits from their performances are often donated to organizations that serve Veterans. I would love to hear Silence and Light on The Fox. Additionally, Chief Cowell is a wonderful father and husband. He is committed to raising another generation of heroes and leaders. The achievements and accolades of Chief Cowell are too numerous to list, but Chief is an American hero and also the hero of people's hearts." THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, FREDRICK!
