Military Hero

My husband Bryan is a Navy Chief currently serving with Riverine Squadron ONE as their Independent Duty Corpsman.  He has deployed into combat 5 times in his 20 year career.  His first deployment to Iraq he fought in the Battle of Fallujah saving 30 Marines from 1st Battalion 8th Marines, Second Marine Division.  His most recent tour in Iraq ended with him tackling the logistical challenge of retro-grading 4 years worth of medical gear that was utilized by the Riverine Forces from 2007-2010.  He is the primary medical provider for a crew of 230 Riverines and maintains the highest medical and dental readiness standard in the Force. Together we have 3 sons ages 16, 8 and 7.  Bryan is a long time volunteer Soccer coach for Suffolk Youth Athletic Association.  He is extremely active in the Chiefs Mess and ran last year Chief Induction season for the Riverine Force training and preparing 21 Chief Selectees to wear the Anchors and become a Navy Chief Petty Officer. Bryan gives of himself so freely and never asks for anything in return.  he is the most passionate man I have ever met when it comes to his job providing combat medicine to his Riverines and being a leader to his 9 other Navy Hospital Corpsman.  I thank God everyday for him and the men like him that defend our freedom everyday.
