Military Hero

Jesse's neice nominated him. This is what she had to say: Retired Navy Chief Bendily deserves to be recognized as a hero. Not only for over 20 years of service with the USN working on submarines but for who he is to our family. Last year Jesse fought and beat a vicious battle with leukemia. Scared to death we were going to lose him he used every bit of strength & beat that cancer down! Last month Jesse lost his wife of 27 years unexpectedly which has now left him a widower with two young daughters, 12 & 13. The strength he’s shown those girls is out of this world. Strength, admiration, & dedication. Just a few words I’d use to describe my Uncle Jesse. He is our hero!
