Petty Officer 1st Class Larry Sears was nominated by his daughter Stephanie, who had the following to say about him: “My [dad] did 22 years in the Navy, he served part of his time in the Vietnam War and trained to become a diver and was a PADI open water instructor and Master Diver before he retired. He is a hard worker and I don’t know how I would of turned out without him in my life.”
