Derek Powers was nominated by his wife Becky and children Jessica, Tony, and Caden. Derek served as a rescue swimmer for 20 years. He worked hard for his country and for his family. Despite many challenging obstacles in his life he manages to always find time to do his job to provide, with every bone in his body make every attempt to be at all family functions and events for the children. Derek has been the rock and shoulder to cry on for many people, and dedicated to ones he loves no matter what. Derek desires a great looking backyard where he spends quality time with his family and neighbors. Derek and Becky’s home now consist of them, their children, fallen ill father -in-law, and two dogs. They have moved several times over the last 4 years and found a home to settle. Derek is currently even looking to install a fence due to there small dog being attached by a neighbor dog. Once again his main goal to protect and provide for his loved ones.
