Virginia Beach – 2014 Military Challenge 5K
July 26th – 6AM
2014 Military Challenge on 26 Saturday. The success of this race depends on the volunteers who give their time and energy in a variety of ways in support of this event. Many volunteer positions still need to be filled. We ask that you, your friends and family or group please consider signing up for one of these positions.
As an event volunteer, you will receive great satisfaction and appreciation from your fellow athletes and the event charity. Volunteering at this event can also provide you or your group with community services hours that may be needed. On top of that, each volunteer will receive a free shirt and goodie bag, as well as being able to attend a very fun post-race party.

You don’t have to be in the military to race. The race is open to the public. You just have to be tough as gator!

Norfolk – South Norfolk Jordan Bridge River Run
October 12, 8AM
Join us Sunday October 12, 2014 for the third annual South Norfolk Jordan Bridge River Run. The Jordan Bridge offers a convenient, alternative way to cross the Elizabeth River between South Norfolk (Chesapeake) and Portsmouth. Modern in both engineering and design, it replaced the existing Jordan Bridge that was closed in November 2008. The 5,375-foot-long, 169 foot high bridge features two 12-foot-wide traffic lanes, two 8-foot-wide shoulders and an 8-foot-wide pedestrian sidewalk. The pedestrian sidewalk is separated from traffic by a concrete barrier. The 5K race course will proceed out and back over the 169 foot bridge span making it the most challenging race course in the area treating you to panoramic views of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and Portsmouth from the top.
