Actress Tara Reid was determined to star in cult horror hit “Sharknado” after falling in love with the “ridiculous” script for the movie.

Reid stars in the made-for-TV disaster film, about a freak hurricane which dumps deadly sharks on the streets of Los Angeles, and she insists she knew she wanted the role the moment she read the “insane” plot.

She tells U.K. newspaper the Sunday Mirror, “I read it and I was laughing so hard because it was the most ridiculous movie I’d ever heard of. It was so insane.”

Earlier this week, Sharknado producer David Latt denied rumors Reid has been axed from a planned sequel, insisting, “Tara is invited back. Honestly, I don’t know where that (story) came from.”
