Ricky Martin replaces Keith Urban on ‘The Voice’

Latino superstar Ricky Martin has replaced Keith Urban as a coach on the Australian version of “The Voice.”

The “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer will take a seat on the panel alongside Delta Goodrem, Seal, and Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.

Urban defected to American Idol in September as part of the show’s new line-up, which includes Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

Announcing the news on Twitter.com page, Martin writes, “Sending some mad love to everyone in Australia! Cant wait to go back! Peace!”

Michael Healy, director of Australia’s Nine network, which airs the show, adds, “Ricky Martin is one of the world’s biggest stars. He brings huge experience to our panel of coaches, which he’ll pass on to our Australian Voice artists in 2013. Most of all, we think he’s the perfect addition.”
