‘Prisoners’ tops weekend box office

The Warner Bros. crime flick, “Prisoners,” topped the weekend box office, with $20.8 million in ticket sales, according to Hollywood.com. The thriller stars Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal and is rated R.

Rounding out the top three were “Insidious: Chapter 2,” with $13.8 million in ticket sales and “The Family,” with $7 million in sales.

“Lee Daniels’ the Butler” dropped to No. 7 on the list, with Disney’s “Planes” rounding out the top 10.
