Eric Clapton lands Vince Gill, John Mayer for Crossroads festival

Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Vince Gill and Brad Paisley will be among the stars joining Eric Clapton onstage at the guitar great’s 2013 Crossroads Guitar Festival.

The rock legend will be taking the two-day event to New York’s fabled Madison Square Garden and he has compiled a stellar line-up for the benefit shows, which raise funds for his Crossroads rehabilitation facility in Antigua.

B.B. King, the Allman Brothers Band, Citizen Cope, Gary Clark Jr., Keith Urban and Los Lobos have also signed up for the big gigs on April 12-13.

It will be Clapton’s fourth Crossroads festival since its launch in Dallas in 2004. Two other shows have also been staged in Illinois in 2007 and 2010.

Clapton had previously suggested the 2010 bash would be the last, but he subsequently had a change of heart and agreed to keep the festival going.
