David Bowie is reportedly nervous about making a concert comeback.

The iconic star is at the center of a bidding war, with promoters Live Nation and AEG allegedly vying for a multi-million dollar deal to stage his first gig for eight years next year.

It is rumored that Bowie is lined up for a huge London show – at either the Olympic Park or Hyde Park – but a new report suggests the Ashes to Ashes hitmaker is wary of returning to the stage.

A source tells the London Evening Standard, “Bowie knows that the level of expectation for the shows would be huge, and the pressure would be enormous as he would no doubt sell tens of thousands of tickets.”

A spokesman for the star is non-committal over the reports of a comeback concert, saying, “There are currently no plans to tour but we are not ruling anything out.”

Anticipation for the star’s return has been growing since his first album in a decade, The Next Day, became a number one hit around the world upon its release earlier this year.
