GREENVILLE, Texas (AP) — Chris Cagle is facing a drunken driving rap in Texas.

The country star was busted early Sunday near Greenville, located about 50 miles northeast of Dallas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says Cagle was pulled over after running a red light — and failed a field sobriety test. He was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Cagle was released later that day on $3,000 bond.

The penalty for Class B misdemeanor DWI can include a fine of up to $2,000 — and up to six months in jail.
