Paul Dumont Jr.
Paul Dumont Jr., US Army

Sgt. Paul Dumont Jr. was killed while serving in Kandahar, Afghanistan on August 19, 2009 at the young age of 23. It was his second deployment while serving in the U.S. Army.

Paul was the 4th child of 7. The best way to describe him is that he was Livin’ the DREAM. He loved life and everything it had to offer. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, and friend. He was proud to serve this country and he gave the ultimate sacrifice in doing so.

Paul was also a big family guy. He loved his family… all of them! He enjoyed spending time outside, going paint-balling, playing lazer tag, going to the beach, going camping and having BBQ’s. There was never a dull moment when he was around. Laughing was all you heard. Whether it was because he was cracking jokes, playing pranks, or busting on his siblings or wife, everyone laughed.

Paul really is the true American Hero. He gave his life for our freedom and in return we want to honor him in a way that we remember him… having FUN! A playground is the perfect way.

The Dumont family has been trying to raise funds to honor Sgt. Paul Dumont Jr. by dedicating a park “Freedom Park” in Williamsburg in his name.  For details, please visit this site:http://www.supportandhonor.blogspot.com/.  I’m not asking for a handout just a helping hand; please help!!!
