FM99’s Christmas Wish has been a tradition for over 25 years. On November 15th, FM99 and Mettle Events will be hosting the Christmas Wish 5k at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to benefit FM99’s Christmas Wish fund.

Registrants can take part in a 5k or a 1 mile Fun Run along the Virginia Beach boardwalk. This highly anticipated race will raise money to help those in need this holiday season.

This race has a little something for everyone with a competitive 5K race, 5K walking category, and kid’s fun run. All 5K runners receive a race T-shirt, post race refreshments and festive post race awards ceremony. Kid’s 1 Mile participants receive a finisher medal and post race refreshments.

Competitive 5K Run

The competitive 5K run starts at 9 AM. Awards are provided to top three overall male and female finishers as well as top three Male & Female in each age group for the 5k Run 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and Over

5K Race Walk

The 5K race walk is for walkers only. If you plan to walk/run the race, that is okay but please sign up for the run. Walker awards are presented to the top three male and female overall race walkers.

Kid’s 1 Mile

The kid’s mile will start at 10:30 and will start at 24th Street Park, proceed south on the boardwalk to 17th Street Park and return. There will be special finisher awards for all kids completing the race. All kids receive a finish time and finisher medal.
