Fifth Annual Spotlight on Hunger Food Drive

Newport News, VA – Christopher Newport University’s Ferguson Center for the Arts announces its fifth annual “Spotlight on Hunger” food drive, sponsored in conjunction with the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula.

The drive will begin on Friday, November 1, 2013 and continues through Sunday, December 22. Donation bins will be in the lobby of both the Concert Hall and Music & Theater Hall for all performances. Items may also be dropped off at the Ticket Office (located in the lobby of the Music & Theatre Hall). Ticket Office hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.  The Office will be closed Wednesday, November 27 through Saturday, November 30 for Thanksgiving.

The Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula provides its service to individuals who live below the poverty level in the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and Williamsburg and the counties of Gloucester, James City, Mathews, Surry and York.
