FM99 welcomes SUBLIME to the nTelos Wireless Pavilion on July 18th at 6:30pm.
Sublime began as a ska punk band in Long Beach, CA in 1988 and released three studio albums, one live album, five compilationalbums, three EPs and one box set. The band has sold more than 17 million albumsworldwide, including 10 million in the U.S. alone.
In 2009 Rome Ramirez, a young guitarist and self-admitted Sublime fan from California joined the band, now aptly named Sublime With Rome. Their smash debutalbum “YoursTruly” was released in July, 2011, followed with a sold-out worldwide tour.
The band today is Rome Ramirez (vocals and guitar), Eric Wilson (bass) andJosh Freese (drums).

For many years, ECSC events have been held from 2nd Street to 9th Street at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Pro and Amateur surfing is contested by the Rudee Inlet Jetty at 2nd Street; the Main Stage music venue is located between 4th and 5th Streets. The Volleyball Tournament is staged from 6th Street through 9th streets.
Each event has several categories for amateurs male and female. There is a pro category for most events as well.
