Grand Furniture’s Military Kids Room Makeover Contest Rules

The Following is the contest rules for the FM99 Military Kids Room Makeover Contest

From 9/23/13 at 12:00am through 10/13/13 at 11:59pm,  active duty or retired military members  must go to FM99.com and fill out the form for the “Military Kids Room Makeover Contest.” They must also answer the question “Why should this family win a room makeover for their child?” in 200 words or less. Entrant may nominate their own family or another military family for this prize.  One entry per family.

On 10/14/13, WNOR staff will conduct a preliminary random drawing of all entrants received.  This drawing will be non-public for the purpose of selecting a potential winner.  One potential winner will be chosen. That person’s name will be provided to Grand Furniture so that they can verify that the potential winner does not have an outstanding account with Grand Furniture that is more than 90 days past due.  In the event Grand Furniture determines that the potential winner is not qualified to win the grand prize, Grand Furniture will provide to WNOR staff proof, to the absolute satisfaction of WNOR staff, that the potential winner is not qualified.  If WNOR staff agrees that the potential winner is not qualified, WNOR staff will select at random another entrant and the same qualification process will be followed.  If WNOR staff disagrees with Grand Furniture, the prize will be awarded to the potential winner, notwithstanding Grand Furniture’s objection. This process will continue until a qualified entrant is chosen.  That person’s name will be announced and notified by telephone on 10/18/13 as the winner.  This will be the first time the winner’s name will be announced to the public.  Drawings and qualification processes shall be non-public and in the complete discretion of WNOR staff.

The winner will receive an Ashley Youth Bedroom Set (B128) from Grand Furniture.  The set consists of a headboard ,  dresser, mirror and nightstand, worth an aggregate value of $957.00.  Winner cannot assign or transfer prize to another person. No prize substitution or cash awards will be made. If the prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Grand Furniture, such as the bedroom set is no longer available, a substitute prize will  be awarded at the discretion of the Sponsor of equal value.

Grand Furniture will contact the winner to make all necessary arrangements associated with the delivery and/or picking-up of the furniture.

 

Entrant must be an active duty or retired military member with ID who has a child/children under the age of 18 OR must be nominating a family with at least one parent in the household who is an active duty or retired military member with ID who has a child/children under the age of 18.

All parties (entrants and families being nominated) must live in Hampton Roads or northeast North Carolina and live or work within 75 miles of the station . They must be 18 or older who have not won anything on WNOR in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WNOR, Tidewater Communications, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WNOR main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
