Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive

FM99 Listeners donated 1,060 units of blood at the 26thRock and Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive

The 26th Annual Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive, hosted by FM99 (WNOR) July 18 through July 20, was an overwhelming success. 1,060 units of blood were collected by the American Red Cross, which will supply life-saving blood products for over one thousand people.

The 3-day blood drive was held from 7am until 7pm at Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News (July 18), Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach (July 19), and Chesapeake Square Mall in Chesapeake (7/20). All donations benefited the American Red Cross Mid-Atlantic Blood Services Region.

Marketing Director, Sonja Morrell: “The Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive is always the largest blood drive in the region. This year, the American Red Cross made an emergency call for blood and platelet donors and FM99 listeners responded in record numbers. We are proud to partner with the Red Cross year after year we thank each and every FM99 listener who took the time to donate blood!”
