WTVZ/WNOR Watch and Win Contest May 2013

How to enter and participate
Watch “Big Bang Theory” on WTVZ at 7:00pm and 7:30pm weekdays May 10, 2013 through May 16, 2013 and look for the “secret code.” Then listen to WNOR the following weekday morning between 7:55am and 8:05am. Rick Rumble will ask listeners to text the “secret code” to 77000 by 9:00am using the first word “bang.”

Big Bang Theory Seasons 1 through 5 on DVD valued at $75

Basis for valuation of the prizes
1 season of Big Bang Theory on DVD averages $15 each on amazon.com. $15 x 5 is $75

Time and means of selection of winner (and/or tie breaking procedures)
Each weekday during the contest (5/13/13 through 5/17/13) just after the 9:00am deadline, a WNOR staffer will randomly choose a winner from all entrants who gave the correct answer. Winner will be notified by phone.

Eligibility restrictions

WNOR contests are open to all eligible Virginia and North Carolina residents within range of the WNOR signal who are 18 or older and have not won anything on WNOR in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WNOR, Tidewater Communications, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WNOR main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

When prizes will be awarded
Prize will be available immediately upon winning and may be picked up at the WNOR from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.

Bono, Clooney, Kardashian part of all-star campaign for AIDS

A New York City doctor says U2 singer Bono suffered multiple fractures and had to have two surgeries after his weekend bicycle accident. Orthopedic trauma surgeon Dr. Dean Lorich says Bono underwent a five-hour surgery on his elbow in which three plates and 18 screws were inserted on Sunday night. Bono had another surgery to repair a fracture to his left pinkie on Monday. Lorich says Bono will need therapy but a full recovery is expected.

Bono is a launching an all-star campaign featuring "once-in-a-lifetime experiences" like walking the red carpet with Meryl Streep or visiting the "Game of Thrones" set.
