Due to improved weather conditions, the city of Virginia Beach will end its “Essential Operations” status as of 6 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 29. The Emergency Operations Center will also close at 6 p.m. The city will be operating under normal conditions on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and all city offices and facilities, with the exception of the historic houses, will be open. Recreation Centers and city parks will open on a 2-hour delay.
